Matthew Hammond is a Christian singer-songwriter, composer, producer, and educator whose music draws from folk rock, jazz, world music, and the rich traditions of choral and contemporary songwriting.

Raised in a musical family, Matthew began composing on piano at the age of seven and grew up surrounded by singing, instruments, and the belief that creativity is a gift from our Creator that is  meant to be shared. His work has always been shaped by faith, a spirit of service, and a desire to help others discover their own creative voice.

Over the years, Matthew has performed, recorded, taught songwriting, produced music, and founded projects dedicated to supporting independent artists. He is the founder of Songseeds.org, a crowdfunded music platform created to help emerging musicians bring their songs into the world, and is the co-founder and Troubadour-in-Chief of Love Only Grows Music Ministry, with whom he has released an original Christian folk-rock album and a Christmas album. 

Today, Matthew is entering a new chapter as a solo artist. His music explores faith, love, loss, grace, wonder, and the shared experiences that connects us all. His current work also carries forward the creative legacy of his daughter, Malaya Grace Hammond, and supports the vision of Malaya's Grace Foundation, which he and his wife, Liz, are establishing in her honor.

At the heart of Matthew's work is a simple conviction: music is not only something we create — it is something we engage with and share, and something that can help us find our way back home, and to one another.
